Terms of Use

DropFlow is free software. Use it, change it and share it, under the GPL-3.0.

Last updated:

In one minute

  • Free software under the GPL-3.0-or-later: use it, change it and share it.
  • The files you convert and make stay yours.
  • The name and logo are not covered by the GPL.
  • It comes as is, with no warranty. Check important results.

The licence and your rights

The licence

DropFlow is free and open-source software under the GNU GPL, version 3 or later (GPL-3.0-or-later). The GPL is the binding text; this page only explains it in plain words.

You may

  • Use it for anything, at home or at work, for free.
  • Read the code and change it.
  • Share copies, changed or not, even for money, as long as you keep the GPL: same licence, notices kept, full source code available.
  • Keep what you make: the GPL covers the software, not the files you convert.

Name and logo

The GPL covers the code, not the name "DropFlow" or its logo. A changed version you publish needs its own name and logo.

Your files and the limits

Your files

  • You need the right to use the files you convert, and the right to download any link you give the app.
  • DropFlow never overwrites your originals: results are new files. Still, check them and keep backups.

Know the limits

  • PDF sign adds a visible stamp. It is not a legal or cryptographic digital signature.
  • PDF redact only finds words in the text layer. Mark scanned pages yourself, and check the result before you share it.
  • PDF crop only hides content; it is still inside the file. Use redact to remove it.
  • AI results (speech to text, OCR, background removal) can be wrong. Check them.

Warranty and liability

No warranty

DropFlow comes "as is", with no warranty of any kind, as far as the law allows (GPL-3.0, section 15). You use it at your own risk.

Liability

As far as the law allows, nobody who writes or shares DropFlow is liable for damage from using it, including lost data (GPL-3.0, sections 16 and 17).

Third-party parts

Some included components have their own licences. They are listed in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.
